James was born in Redmond and since he was young, he has had a desire to create. As a child he could most often be found digging in the sandbox or in the toolshed pounding nails into scraps of wood. As he grew this passion for creating did not diminish.  After receiving a degree in construction management James built hundreds of homes before the great recession and has since travelled the country managing some of the largest and  most technically complex construction projects ever constructed in the US. James has a unique gift to look at a set of construction plans and then create detailed planning sequences and timelines bringing  projects to life and allowing for continual project management as  they are built out.   James  brings this same passion, confidence and creativity to the Eastlake Project.  

Because every kite needs a string, Deryl brings a background of discipline and wisdom to act as the Yin to James’ Yang.  Having grown up in the shadow of Mt. Rainier (when the Sonics were the only game in town) Deryl has a lifelong love affair with and devotion to the Pacific Northwest. Though his ventures have taken him around the world, home is where the heart is, and that home is here.  Armed with an MBA from the Wharton School, Deryl founded what would become Arizona’s largest home warranty company.  He knows what it takes to bring a winning product to market all the while creating an atmosphere of success that expands beyond the shareholders.  For example, his hand-picked and personally mentored CEO was named by Glassdoor as one of America’s 10 Best.
